The Iditarod is the famous race in which huskies pull sleds across Alaska. The Idiotarod is the same thing, except it's goofballs pulling shopping carts through Brooklyn.
The Gowanus Lounge shot the above video of the race as it leaves "Checkpoint Two" at The Yard, next to the Carroll Street Bridge in Gowanus and at the finish line, Moonshine, on Columbia Street in Red Hook. More photos and links here.
