The city's plan to close down the docks in Red Hook - where hundreds of workers unload cargo from international ships - by the end of the month were halted last Thursday, says the Daily News. The Brooklyn Eagle reported that Congressman Jerrold Nadler called the Bloomberg Administration “myopic and shortsighted” at the City Council hearing that discussed the future of South Brooklyn’s waterfront.
