Fighting Over Williamsburg's Glatt-Kosher Food Truck, and More Brooklyn in Brief

- So the arrival of the "Sub on Wheels" -- the first glatt-kosher food truck -- in the ultra-Orthodox part of Williamsburg has sparked a heated battle. A few weeks ago, two men were taken into custody, and police threatened more arrests. On Sunday, street posters warned families not to patronize the truck. - Construction hasn’t even started, but a company spokesperson says that Brooklyn Heights’ parents are already calling to register their kids for the new, 10,000-square-foot New York Kids Club coming to the corner of Henry and Montague Streets – over the Ann Taylor Loft. Brooklyn Eagle

- New renderings were released Thursday as part of the so-called "Plan for Downtown Brooklyn." The video proposal, narrated by stage and screen star Ian McKellen, calls for a new hotel, retail and office space, and more than 14,000 new housing units. NY1
But the Brooklyn Paper says the proposal just put a "snazzy window dressing on a retrenchment of the original notion that the Flatbush Avenue corridor and surrounding streets would be a booming business district."
