New York Magazine presents this year's edition of why we love New York City, which includes such gems as:
"Obama is one of us, despite all that business about Chicago;"*
"Our stage is big enough for Hillary's sense of drama;"
"People will still do really crazy things to live here;"
and this-is-not-an-insult: "Our mayor is a self-regarding masochist."
More reasons here.
* In Dreams From My Father Obama writes about living in New York: “The apartment was small, with slanting floors and irregular heat and a buzzer downstairs that didn’t work, so that visitors had to call ahead from a pay phone at the corner gas station, where a black Doberman the size of a wolf paced through the night in vigilant patrol, its jaws clamped around an empty beer bottle.”
