Word is that Ignazio's Pizza (4 Water Street in Dumbo) will be opening on February 1.
According to DumboNYC, the place is cleaned up and looks ready to roll (though a few locals are against another liquor license in the neighborhood).
Some wonder how they can compete with Grimaldi's, right around the corner. But commenters on Brownstoner say, "Bring on the competition," calling Grimaldi's a tourist trap.

Termini (the owner of Ignazio's) is going to blow Grimaldi's away. He is a pizza perfectionist and I predict people will be wrapped around the block once they taste his pizza.
ReplyDeleteTermini has places in Connecticut and they suck! We need another pizza joint like a whole in the head.
ReplyDeleteFulton Landing Guy needs to learn to spell before posting his piece of mind. Termini's places in CT are great, he brought taste to Hartford. Best of luck to him.
ReplyDeleteIf Fulton Landing Guy could share where all these pizza joints are it would be greatly appreciated. Grimaldi's leaves A LOT to be desired and they don't deliver. Front street pizza is terrible and they close at like 6pm. If Ignazzio's delivers, they will do the entire neighborhood a favor.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope his pubic beard doesn't go in your topping. The place looks like a cheap delhi joint. 3 years to open, lucky at this rate if he can afford fresh ingredients, check your cheese is not expired?
ReplyDeleteIt's FINALLY opening Tuesday - Mar. 31! Can't wait to try it!
