State officials have agreed to let New York City finish building (and paying for) Brooklyn Bridge Park, the New York Times reports. While a chunk of the work has been started (especially on Piers 1 and 6) the rest has been delayed while the state and city argued over who would get the control.The agreement is expected to be approved Wednesday by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation, according to the Times. (Many more steps lay ahead.)
Interestingly, the city seems a little flexible on the matter of housing in the park. According to the Times, "Officials said they would explore adding a floating pool and skating rink."
