The Brooklyn Headhunter: Find a Job in Brooklyn

From time to time, McBrooklyn puts on its Headhunting gear and scouts out a handful of Brooklyn employment opportunities.

It's Labor Day, and darn if there aren't quite a few labor opportunities available. Here's the latest batch:

- Momofuku Milk Bar in Williamsburg is looking for someone to bake cookies, wrap cookies, ship cookies, eat cookies, clean up cookies and deliver cookies. Craigslist 

- The YWCA of Brooklyn needs an operations director, office manager, and facilities manager. idealist, here and here

- Brooklyn Public Library is seeking a part time associate/educator to introduce middle and high school students to archival research through a local history project. Pays $20 -$25/ hr. idealist 

- Koszyn & Company is looking to hire an associate with skills in writing, research, development etc. to fund raise for non-profits. NY Times

- Inspect raw chicken and meat for the USDA. Pays $35,000 - $56,000. Deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 8.  USAjobs 

- A comic book production company seeks a part time assistant to work with a writer. Craigslist

- The Brooklyn Music School is looking for activity specialists that are experts in dance, music. Pays $25 - $30/hr.  idealist  They also need a part time assistant registrar. Pays $15 - $18/hr. here

- The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music is looking to hire an Executive Director. NYFA

- A Brooklyn legislator seeks a communications director. Pays $40,000 - $45,000 plus full government benefits.  Craigslist

- Gowanus Print Lab wants instructors for screen printing and digital media courses, part time. GPL

- POM (pomegranates) needs a receptionist. NY Times

- The Brooklyn Wine Exchange at Court near Atlantic seeks a person to receive cases, put them away, stock shelves, etc. Pays $10 - $13 /hr. Craigslist

- Paper Source, a paperie and retail shop opening in October on Smith Street in Boerum Hill, seeks an assistant manager and a shift supervisor. Paper Source

- The Jewish Voice newspaper is looking for an experienced person to manage their legal section. Craigslist 

- Gem Financial Services pawnbroker/ jewelry store needs sales associates, gold buyers, pawn brokers, gemologists, watch repairers, and a full time webmaster and eBay sales department manager. Downtown Brooklyn. Good benefits. Gem and Career Builder 

- The New York Aquarium in Coney Island is looking for a Director of Park Services. Pays roughly $60,000- $100,000.  NY Times 
 
- Inventory technician needed, part time (20 - 24 hrs. a week) to organize monitors, hard drives, cables, etc. Career Builder

- Tom Fitzpatrick Electrical Consulting on Utica Ave. seeks a dependable person to perform bookkeeping, accounting, collecting and purchasing tasks. Quickbooks a plus. Pays $65,000 a year. Career Builder

- Aeropostale, opening this fall on Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn, needs an assistant manager.  Aeropostale  They are also hiring sales associates.  Career Builder

- Web designer needed -- creative, not technical. Pays $30,000.  Craigslist  

- An unnamed big box fashion store is looking for an experienced store manager. Pays $55,000 to $70,000 a year. Career Builder  They also need a district manager. $50,000 to $65,000 a year.  Here

- Bartenders and servers wanted in Park Slope.  Craigslist

- The Working Families Party is hiring activists again.  WFP
