Brooklyn Woman Throws Baby Down Eighth-Floor Trash Chute
An 18-year-old woman threw her newborn baby away -- stuffing it in a plastic bag and shoving it down a hallway trash chute -- from the eighth floor of the Walt Whitman housing project (on Cumberland Walk and Myrtle Ave.) in Fort Greene.
The building's super heard cries coming from a plastic bag and called 9-1-1. The baby is reported in stable condition at Brooklyn Hospital. According to the New York Times, police arrested Laquasia Wright Sunday night.
I think the city need to advertise the Safe Haeven Laws on buses, trains, buildings every where this is happening to ofter.
