Pet Day and Pet Costume Contest at Deno’s Wonder Wheel

We got this notice from the producers of this event. Love the wacky photo and the Coney-themed pet costume contest, but seriously . . . bringing your pet on the Wonder Wheel? Ever tried holding onto to a terrified beagle? Anyway, here's the rest of the notice:

Saturday June 11th!
(Rain Date June 12th)

"A birds-eye view for every dog, cat, fish and snake in town,
from atop the NYC Landmark Wonder Wheel”

Pets Ride Free when accompanied by their owner from noon-6pm

 At 2pm, participate or just enjoy The Coney Island Pet Costume Contest on the Boardwalk, hosted by The World Famous BOB”! The Contest will festively be followed by a parade up and down the Coney Island Boardwalk.

Enter the costume contest at the Boardwalk registration table across from Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park, next to the stage.

The contest will be limited to 25 entries, and registration is on a first come first serve basis. Pre-registration is encouraged; please visit www.wonderwheel.com to download an application or register from 12:30-1:30 on the boardwalk registration table across from Deno’s Park, next to the stage

All registrants must also bring a can of dog food as an entrance fee. All cans will be donated to The Sean Casey Animal Rescue that will have an adoption vehicle on 12th street for the day.

& $150 gift certificate to Petco

2nd prize Day Passes to Deno’s, $75 gift certificate to Petco

3rd prize Day Passes to Deno’s, $25 gift certificate to Petco
