Mayor Ed Koch, Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Assemblyman Dov Hikind, Councilman David G. Greenfield, Councilman Brad Lander and other elected officials said they planned to denounce Charles Barron at 9:30 this morning as an Enemy of the State of Israel.They are gathering at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan to bring attention to Baron's "hateful comments and actions."
According to the Anti-Defamation League, Charles Barron's public positions on Israel "center on what he views as Israel's merciless and criminal treatment of Palestinians." In June 2010, he said that the state of Israel should never have been created.
