Google 'Street Viewing' Through Brooklyn Restaurants

A number of Brooklyn restaurants have asked Google to roll their Street View panoramic cameras right through the dining rooms. When you visit these restaurants through Google Maps, you can click and drag your way through the front door and all the way back to the kitchen. (But not into the kitchen. Yet.)

You can also look up, down and all around, and if there are interesting nooks or several rooms, you can wander through doors or down halls.

Google technology blurs the faces of customers (and even of pictures on the wall, but not paintings, usually).

Here are just a few restaurants we strolled through using Street View:

The next time you plan to visit a restaurant you've never seen before, see if they've Street Viewed themselves. You can check out the vibes in advance, examine the pictures on the wall, see how clean and shiny the place is.
