Why We Don't Swim in New Jersey Rivers

This is what swims in the Raritan River in New Jersey.

UPDATE: The NY Daily News says scientists at Outdoor magazine seem to think the creature is a very large sea lamprey, a species of parasite that lives in certain northern Atlantic waters.
