4th of July Fireworks Crowds Growing in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights

Photos by MK Metz, McBrooklyn
The crowds slowly started to build around 5 p.m. today, July 4, after a rainy start to the day. But by 6 p.m. or so the streets of Brooklyn Heights became more and more crowded. Henry Street restaurants and pizza shops, like Fascati's, suddenly developed ling lines.

There was still room near the River Cafe around 6 p.m!

Bags are being cheked going into Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Saving their spots on the Promenade.

The Wounded Warriors had a private party in Squibb Park.

The Macy's barge had to move south because of the strong undertow.
