Regarding the collapse of the stone wall facade of the Brooklyn Bridge overpass on 2 July '14, we're awaiting an investigation into the role played by Skanska-Koch, the contractor for the Brooklyn Bridge Rehabilitation Project. One theory about the accident which temporarily buried a few people is that vibrations caused by intense jackhammering, demolition and movement of heavy construction equipment on the Bridge contributed to the loosening and fall of the wall's stones.
