Juan Rivera, Owner of Variety Mart in Brooklyn Heights, Dies

Juan G. Rivera, long-time owner of Variety Mart, at 136 Montague St. in Brooklyn Heights, died last week.

Mr. Rivera went back decades on Montague Streeet. He was a co-owner of the store in the 70s, and long ago became sole owner.

Mr. Rivera was a father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather. Our sincere sympathy to his family.

A wake was held on Sunday at the Cobble Hill Funeral Home.
