March Over Brooklyn Bridge Commemorates Selma, 50 Years Later

More than 500 marchers crossed over the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the march in Selma, Alabama, which came to be known as Bloody Sunday.

“We’re fighting now for not just civil rights but human rights,” BP Adams said.

Young members of the NAACP carried the banned over the bridge.

The marchers ended up at Brooklyn Borough Hall, where they watched President Barack Obama's address to the nation from Selma.
