161 Remsen Street's rear is next to the Archstone, the high-rise apartment building on Montague Street (visible in the top left photo), and next to an empty lot where another 180-foot-high apartment building is to rise. It would seem logical for the owners to sell out, rather than be surrounded by enormous apartment and office buildings, with months of construction noise and dust. The owners of the vacant lot next door would seem prime candidates to buy the building and combine the sites.
