267 Rogers Ave. Map data © Google Maps 2017
Brooklyn Councilmenber Laurie Cumbo (D35) sent us information about a public hearing to be held THIS MORNING regarding a proposed $43 million residence for homeless families at 267 Rogers Ave. in Crown Heights.

While the notice of this hearing was published in the City Record, she thinks it should get more publicity.

Her message reads in part:

<Thursday, May 4th at 10:00AM.
This meeting is a procurement hearing for Samaritan Daytop Village, Inc., 07110P0002132, and their contract in the amount of $43,392,736.00.
Proper notification is paramount to ensure that area residents are informed and have the opportunity to provide input on any proposed changes that will impact their community ... Although my office was just directly notified by the agency of this information, I am going to need your help to share this notice widely within your networks.>>

The city's official notice is below.
