Original cast members Philip Seymour Hoffman, Daphne Rubin-Vega and John Ortiz will appear in the film, which is also being directed by Hoffman.
According to Broadway.com, Jack Goes Boating is a "quirky romantic comedy about two misfits navigating the joy, distractions and pitfalls of New York City."
While this is Hoffman’s first directorial attempt, this is not his first time producing. His company, Cooper’s Town, produced Capote -- the film that helped him earn his first Oscar, according to TheScorecardReview.
Filming is also taking place "on the third floor of a courthouse near Montage Street," a crew member told McBrooklyn.
Breakfast was set up in a cul-de-sac behind the MTA building.
