
The photo above looks down the subway stairs on Jay Street right in front of MetroTech's TKTS booth. Quite a pile of rubble down there -- don't see how the workers can walk around.
Willoughby Street is in a permanent state of construction, as can be seen in the photo below.

ReplyDeleteI really wish they'd connected the Jay Street station with the Borough Hall/Court Street 2/3/4/5/M/R instead. The tunnel would have been a bit longer, and I guess the connections are already a bit labyrinthine between, say, the R and the 4, but it would have been nice to be able to connect to those other lines from the F. The F and M/R already have a good transfer station at 4th Ave/9th St.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for pedestrian walkways that would just make it safer for the person on foot and a lot less traffic and congestion on the streets.
