Hundreds turned out at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday for scientific sailing trips and a night of stargazing, presentations by astronomers, scientists and astronauts, and even a dancing robot.
Numerous telescopes were brought in by astronomers and hobbyists, and folks lined up to see Saturn (and 4 of its moons), Jupiter and its rings, the moon and other celestial objects.
The event was part of the
World Science Festival, a citywide science street fair that wrapped up on Sunday.
