Actually I used to like looking at the stacked pallets and the otherwise emptiness and then the river, especially when I was having a downer of a day. Having people mill about or frolic or skating or exercising won't help. . .It's getting where you can't go anywhere to think anymore without being distracted or "entertained" . . .
ReplyDeleteI agree. I used to sit on the broken concrete slabs under the Brooklyn Bridge. Then they fixed it up. Now it's all fenced off. What's the point?
ReplyDeleteI agree 5:48 PM. I used to love sitting under the Bklyn Bridge especially on those real hot days. It was better than A/C. . . That's also where I learned that the East River wasn't a river but a tidal strait. There was a sign that explained the whole thing. . . .Well you can't go back in time.
