Massive Fire, Accident BQE Brooklyn Heights

Columbia Heights, Brooklyn Heights.

Billowing smoke poured out of the BQE tunnel at the end of Middagh Street in Brooklyn Heights at about 1:15 p.m. today. The Brooklyn Eagle reports that large truck and passenger car collided in the tunnel. Incredibly, no one was killed, though a woman was reportedly injured.
