A 9/11 Walk On the Brooklyn Heights Promenade

On the tenth anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001, we took a walk on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. There we saw this tribute to Heights resident Genni Gambale and the firefighters from Engine Co. 205 and Ladder 118.

These flowers had no sign explaining who they were for.

This plaque shows where the towers were.

September 11, Broken Sky.

Someone left this photo in front of the Broken Sky wreath.

Poet Dave Johnson read Galway Kinnell’s "When the Towers Fell" as part of a Brooklyn Historical Society event.
