First Shots Fired in Brooklyn Bridge Park Miraculously Don't Kill Anybody

BBP, by MK Metz
The first gunshots fired in Brooklyn Bridge Park (since it became a park) went wild yesterday, by some miraculous twist of fate killing no one.

Warm weather brought youthful crowds to the incredibly popular park, which seems to have no permanently-stationed cops patrolling its rolling green acreage.

Following a panic, police arrested two men.

  1. With the decline in the use of stop and frisk as a crime deterrent, we are going to be seeing more gunplay of this nature in our city's parks and playgrounds. Does an innocent bystander have to die before we do everything required to remove guns from the hands of teenagers?
