You can probably tell by now that we've been going through our never-ending mail bag this weekend. Here's another one:
We received a reminder from Zipcar's new competitor, Mint, that they now supply cars from two locations in Brooklyn -- at 110 Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn, and at 353 4th Avenue in Park Slope. Mint says:
All reservations include gas, insurance and reserved home parking. Members are also eligible for discounted parking at parking lots throughout Manhattan. There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee that covers the application, DMV check and access card, but it is waived for existing Zipcar & Hertz Connect members.

My brother is working for a tv production for Slice/Global right now and they are sponsored by zipcar.
You would think that sponsors would make sure everything would run smoothly, especially b/c the crew travels to shooting locations using zipcars. However, the cars get returned late from other users, and often dirty, with spilled coffee or garbage. If I was relying on a zip car to get to work, and it got returned late, so that I was late for work, I would be pretty pissed off.
How old do you have to be to drive a Mint or zipcar?I'm almost 16 and don't think I can afford car.Can I drive a zipcar?
I was wondering if I am able to drive a zipcar. I think it would be a lot cheaper to drive a zipcar cause I would only need it to drive to school and maybe a do a few errands here and there. Can I drive one? Thank You!
You have to be 21 to rent a ZipCar, except on some college campuses where they've lowered the age to 18. Don't know Mint's policy but we're guessing it's similar.
