Neil Ganic has opened the third incarnation of his near-legendary Bouillabaisse restaurant. Whatever his past travails, given the quality of his kitchen, customers will follow him just about anywhere. The new location is across the street from the Ikea opening this summer. Want to try it out and help a good cause? The Red Hook Play Group is throwing its first annual winter benefit event there. Set for Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m., the event will take place at Bouillebaisse and adjoining Annabelle’s bar/music club. Included in the price of admission is food, beer & wine, and a performance by Brooklyn-based band Las Rubias Del Norte. Ganic’s first Bouillabaisse opened in Brooklyn Heights in the early 90s, then relocated to Union Street near Columbia Street. The new location is at the corner of Beard and Dwight. Both Bouillabaisse and the new Annabelle’s bar are opening on the site of Lillie’s, the drinking spot which operated in a former longshoreman’s bar from 2001 to 2006. More here.

Lillie was such a sweetheart, i wonder what she is doing now...she made such a go of it and had loyal customers and remembered them all.
Heres to Lillie!
I miss Lillie also. Last I knew, she was bartending in Manhattan. My fav night was "Moustache Rock"!
