Getting Ready for Brooklyn's Tallest Building

This pile of rubble at 107 Laurence Street, right off MetroTech, is the site of what could be Brooklyn's tallest building, beating out even the Williamsburg Bank Building.

As first reported in Brownstoner in August, The Clarett Group is hoping to build a 51-story, 514-foot tall building at the site.

The Downtown Brooklyn Plan allows buildings of 495 feet as of right but "that wasn’t iron clad," an observer told the Brooklyn Eagle.

A photo of the previous building on the site, also known as 14 MetroTech Center, can be seen here.
