Crain's is the city's business news. It is incorrect to say that 53% of New Yorkers support the mayor. This is a self selected group of people pre-disposed to supporting the mayor because all of his policies over the past years were in support of this group.
So: the more accurate claim is that 53% of readers of Crains NY suport the mayor.

The poll was conducted by Charney Research, not by Crain's.
