PBS has supplied us with this oil leak widget that allows readers to estimate how many gallons of crude have leaked into the Gulf of Mexico so far.
PBS worked with a team of experts that factored in all kinds of variables.Use the slider to adjust the escape rate -- BP's first estimate was about 210,000 gallons a day. Outside experts, however, put it closer to a million gallons a day, and others put the worst case scenario at about four million gallons a day.

Hi,
I am going to use this accident as a teaching tool.
Is there a fact sheet to go along with this calculator showing the input data, assumptions and the formulae used to arrive at the gallons leaked to date?
Thanks
