Saint Ann's School Picks New Headmaster

After a six-month, nationwide search, Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn Heights has chosen a new headmaster.  According to the Brooklyn Eagle, Vincent J. Tompkins, Jr. has been chosen to replace Larry Weiss, who took over when the school’s founding headmaster Stanley Bosworth -- unconventional, to say the least -- retired in 2004.

Tompkins is currently the Deputy Provost at Brown University and has a long list of credentials. Among other perks, his three kids will attend Saint Ann's.

According to the NY Times, an advertisement for the position described the job as “summoning the ineffable balance of creative chaos and subtle, essential order that defines Saint Ann’s.”

Larry Weiss will be moving about six blocks east next September.
