Yesterday, the the Saint Ann's Puppet Parade -- the Brooklyn Heights' equivalent of Mardi Gras with a twist of pagan bacchanal -- made its joyful way down Montague Street and along the Promenade in a splendidly colorful celebration.
Jugglers, clowns and enormous puppets with even larger heads danced as the drums brought spectators out from restaurants and shops.
Very funny to see delivery drivers do double takes as the ten-feet-tall kings and queens bobbed down the street in the midst of hundreds of school children.
