Idiot Sets Off Fire Evacuation On Montague Street, Brooklyn Heights

185 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights was evacuated yesterday afternoon because a fire alarm went off on the 11th floor. The evacuees included people from doctors' offices and office workers.

Montague Street was blocked off by fire fighting equipment.

Eventually, the fire fighters gave the all clear, letting everyone back in.

It turns out that the alarm went off because someone was (illegally) smoking on the 11th floor. The firefighters gathered their equipment and marched back to their trucks.

Wonder what all that cost us?
