Eight Fire Companies In Brooklyn May Close

 Engine 205 at Brooklyn Heights’ Middagh Street firehouse, one of the fire companies that suffered so heavily on 9/11, is one of eight companies in Brooklyn slated for closure. Across the city 20 companies are on the closing list.

Other companies on the list -- which is not yet set in stone -- are:

E220 530 11th St. Brooklyn
E233 25 Rockaway Ave. Brooklyn
E284 1157 79th St. Brooklyn
L104 161 South 2nd St. Brooklyn
L161 2929 W 8th St. Brooklyn
