Guggenheim Museum Pop-Up Sanatorium Coming to Downtown Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Eagle has learned that the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is bringing a temporary exhibit to the former home of Sid’s Hardware at 345 Jay St., also known as 1 MetroTech, in Downtown Brooklyn.

The exhibit, titled “Stillspotting NYC,”  explores “stillness and quiet within the urban environment of New York City over a two-year period.”

Artist Pedro Reyes’ "Sanatorium" will convert the storefront location into a sanatorium, offering visitors repose and a range of far-out urban therapy sessions.

According to Wikipedia, a sanatorium is "a medical facility for long-term illness, most typically associated with treatment of tuberculosis."
