Con Ed Cuts Power 5 Percent in Many Brooklyn Neighborhoods

If your air conditioner doesn't seem to be blowing quite as cold as usual, it may be because Con Edison has reduced voltage by 5 percent several areas of Brooklyn.

According to Con Edison, the power has been cut "as a precaution while repairs are made to equipment."

Neighborhoods with power reductions include:

* Crown Heights, East Flatbush, East New York, Ocean Hill, Brownsville, Williamsburg, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Bushwick and Greenpoint.
* Flatbush, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Prospect Heights, Canarsie, Flatlands, Mill Basin, Old Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, Georgetown, Coney Island, Seagate, Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay.
