It seems sometimes like Brooklyn is a very small town. Over the last couple of days, we've heard this sad, sad story from many people from Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope. (We also read it on Only the Blog Knows Brooklyn.)
Now the Brooklyn Eagle has published the obituary of Karen Rothman-Fried, a resident of Brooklyn Heights, who died tragically Sunday at the age of 36. Ms. Fried, a third-grade teacher at Public School 321 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, died suddenly while dining at a restaurant with her husband:
"Sadly, Ms. Rothman-Fried was six months pregnant. Her son was delivered by emergency caesarian section, but died in his father’s arms two hours later."
This story has touched so many people. Our sincere condolences to her family, her husband, and all who love her.
