Art in Cadman Plaza Park! -- And Look Who's Funding It

It's never happened before, and locals are shocked: Art has appeared in Cadman Plaza Park in Brooklyn Heights!

David Hardy's 'Field Display #2,' shown as the artist works on it here, is established at the north end of the park, near the walkway to the Brooklyn Bridge. Elements include a chalice sort of object ensconced in a national park-type display kiosk, with coal-filled blue boots poised in front.

It's part of Art in the Parks celebrating 40 years of its public arts program. Forty installations have been established throughout the five boroughs.

Hardy only found out after the deal was done that his particular artwork was funded by Forest City Ratner Companies...

See for more.
