Trader Joe's is another retailer that seems to be coasting through the recession. The frozen food coolers were half wiped out Sunday about 5 p.m.
We were there to load up on crab cakes and vegetable gyoza, both gone. Shrimp and chicken stir-fry, chicken tempora, various vegetable blends and deli items were also out.
Workers were refilling other bins, so perhaps they just didn't have time to refill these items.
The lines, as usual, wrapped around the store, but they do move quickly.

How do we take this as a sign that TJ's is "coasting through the recession?" Might they be ordering fewer crab cakes and therefore not restocking as quickly? Maybe TJ's is contributing to the recession by reducing how much they order.
Isn't this still a lingering effect of the fire at their frozen food warehouse out West a few weeks back?
Ditto 11:14. I loved their frozen grill chicken strips and they have been out for weeks citing warehouse distribution issues.
Also NEVER have edemame when I go...they juts can't keep it in stock!
