Should be an Interesting Brooklyn Heights Branch Library Development Meeting Tuesday Night

Courtesy BPL
Brooklyn Public Library will be holding a Community Advisory Committee meeting at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the next steps in the redevelopment of the Brooklyn Heights Branch Library.

If this meeting is anything like past CAC meetings, a vocal crowd will show up.

BPL's plan to sell the Heights branch to a developer has drawn protests since it was aired.

BPL says topics will include the selection of the developer of the Heights site, the next steps involved in the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) and the interim library space (Our Lady of Lebanon Church) in Brooklyn Heights. This discussion is open to the public.
