Kudos to Brooklyn Friends for the job well done at their Winter Crafts Fair, which took place Saturday.
It was a great community event (organizations like the Brooklyn Children's Museum, shown above, participated), with lots of high-quality handicrafts. We especially like this unusual bottle stopper made by Alchemy (photo left).
Kids had a great time with the bouncy rides, carnival games and face painting, and the cafeteria was mobbed.
80 percent of the proceeds went towards the "Horizons at Brooklyn Friends School," an academic enrichment program the school provides for children at PS 307 and PS 287 in Fort Greene. The rest went towards PTA programs.
Fine and Raw Chocolates gave out samples.
"Mainly Hats."
Silk screened T-shirts showing Lincoln handing "Change" to Obama, made by students at the school.
