Brooklyn Public Library Looking for Someone to Manage Lobbyists, Work Building Sales Through Land Use Approval Process

Updated:
Brooklyn Public Library is gearing up for some library real estate sales.  looking for someone to replace Josh Nachowitz (see commenter insight below).

In their employment listings, BPL says they're looking for someone to manage all aspects of BPLs Government and Community Relations strategy: Must create strategic partnerships with elected officials, and oversee and direct work of outside lobbyists.

Must also "provide strategic advice to the President and CEO on sensitive political issues."

Must have "extensive knowledge of the NYC budget process, the New York City Council, State Legislature and Brooklyn politics, and "demonstrated relationships with Brooklyn elected officials and community stakeholders."

Most importantly, the candidate must have:

"knowledge of the City’s capital budget and land use approval processes."

Looks like the library sales are still on.

This is Josh Nachowitz's old job. (He left to become an AVP at the Downtown Alliance.) I don't think the responsibilities have changed significantly.
