More Affordable Apartments Going In at City Point in Brooklyn

The developers of City Point are increasing the number of affordable apartments at the mega-development in Downtown Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Eagle reports.

Because of a deal the builders just finalized with the city, a whopping 80% of the units in City Point's Tower 1 rental-apartment building will be earmarked for low- and middle-income residents - up from 50% originally planned.

Affordable housing is a top priority for Mayor Bill de Blasio.
