Power Out in Bushwick / E. Williamsburg Friday: More Than 1,400 Con Ed Customers in the Dark

 Con Edison reports that an entire section of Bushwick/ East Williamsburg in Brooklyn has lost power this morning.

Entire blocks of buildings in an area bounded by Flushing Avenue, Evergreen Avenue, Start Street and Irving Avenue have gone dark.

Con Ed will be working in the area all day, and expects to have most of them back on line by 5 p.m. today.

 No word yet on what caused the outage.

Streets involved include: George Street, Melrose Street, Jeffeerson Street, Troutman Street, Start Street, Suydam Street, Knickerbocker Avenue, Wilson Avenue, and Central Avenue.
