Some people got a little worked up -- others were all too happy -- when they saw a fireman climbing up the big ladder to the top of the Peaks Mason Mints building (20 Henry Street; Candy Factory) Saturday.
But it was all in good fun, as the firehouse across the street was just carrying out a drill.
The firefighter climbed about two-thirds of the way up, gave the building the once-over, then scampered back down in time for the firehouse to get the ladder truck over to P.S. 8 for their Paddlewheeler Festival.
