Harvest Fest + Soup Cook-Off at Prospect Farm, Brooklyn

Prospect Farm has almost completed its first season as a community-run urban farm. McBrooklyn just received an email inviting everyone to their Harvest Fest + Soup Cook-Off to be celebrated on October 30th (raindate October 31st) from 11am to 4pm. At the event you can learn about the Prospect Farm's work, play games and enjoy music, food, the soup cook-off with prizes, raffle, and more.

Prospect Farm is a 5,000 sq ft community-run urban farm on Prospect Ave between Seeley and Vanderbilt Sts in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. (F Train to Ft. Hamilton, exit towards Prospect Ave/Greenwood)

Enter the Soup Cook-Off:
Contestants must make a soup to feed 8-12 and contain one locally sourced ingredient (within 100 miles) to be brought to the Fest and judged on the 30th of October. Soups will be made available for tasting to guests for $5. Prizes for the best two pots of soup include a $75 and $25 gift certificate from Grab Specialty Food and more. Judged by Foodie Brandon Maya and Chef Joesph Brancaccio.
