More Trouble at 'Toxic' Preschool in Boerum Hill

It seems that the organization that opened an unlicensed and unsafe preschool in Boerum Hill is imploding. The Brooklyn Eagle reports that no one seems to be returning calls lately to families who had left deposits with the Brooklyn Children's Academy Preschool on Dean Street, run by a non-profit called Better Brooklyn Community Center (BBCC). The "toxic" school has been closed, and so has a temporary space on Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights.

The Fulton Street offices of the BBCC are closed as well.

This story has been UPDATED here.

Thank you for the update to that terrible story about Brooklyn Children's Academy. I can not believe that these poor families not only have to deal with the confusion from their children, but also the financial burden. It is a shame and I hope it gets the through investigation it deserves.

I represent New York Kids Club with 4 Locations and a new location opening up in Brooklyn Heights in April. If anyone has and inquiries or questions let me know--I would love to steer any family in a better direction than what happened to the parents at BCA. We offer a variety of classes for children 6 months to adolescence. Some classes include Ultimate Fitness, Broadway Kids, and Art of Cooking. Winter/Spring Registration is until end of Jan. 31.
