Two Trees to Break Ground on Dock Street in DUMBO Next Summer

Two Trees Management Co. will break ground on its controversial Dock Street DUMBO project (shown above next to Brooklyn Bridge) next summer, “if all goes well,” reports the Brooklyn Eagle.

Jed Walentas, a principal at Two Trees, broke the news at the Brooklyn Real Estate Roundtable luncheon on Tuesday.

More than a dozen high-profile local and national preservation groups opposed the 18 story private development just 92 feet from the Brooklyn Bridge “that will forever alter New York’s legendary landscape," according to Doreen Gallo, Dumbo Neighborhood Alliance executive vice president.
