One Brooklyn Bridge Park Conversion Underway

One Brooklyn Bridge Park's developer RAL Companies & Affiliates has been busy for the last 18 months converting the oversized former Jehovah's Witness distribution center at 360 Furman Street into a luxury condo, according to the Real Deal.

Sales began April 28 and there are 37 deals already, according to the Real Deal. Prices range from $500,000 to $7 million.

Condo amenities will include refrigerated storage for FreshDirect deliveries, a 3,000-square-foot fitness center, yoga/Pilates room, children's playroom and art facility, game room, entertainment lounge, golf simulator, 7,000-square-foot landscaped garden and roof deck with private cabanas for sale.

The on-site garage will offer 132 private parking spaces for sale -- which will cost more than $100,000 per space -- in addition to rental spaces.

UPDATE: The Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation approved the controversial lease agreement for 360 Furman St. at its first board meeting under the Spitzer Administration on Thursday, reports the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. One Brooklyn Bridge critics were hoping that Spitzer would cast a more critical eye on the co-op plunked down in the middle of a park.
