Brooklyn Dog Killer Finally Arrested; Officials Used Decoy Internet Date

A year ago, Sherman Haynes, 27, was mad at his girlfriend. So, yelling, "You need your dog?" he threw her little white Shih Tzu out the third-floor window, killing it. The dog suffered broken legs, collapsed lungs and internal bleeding from the impact.

For the last year Haynes has avoided ASPCA investigators, according to WNBC. Officials said they finally tracked him down by setting up a decoy date with him over the Internet. Haynes was arrested Friday and taken to the 79th precinct in Brooklyn.

This confirms at least some of the Internet dating horror stories going around.
